about earthquip

Earthmoving Roots

Earthquip

Since its origin as a civil engineering company in 1977 and subsequent establishment of Earthquip in 1985 essentially as a specialist in the refurbishment of pre-owned earthmoving equipment, Earthquip's core products have now altered to nowadays being predominately new equipment. The acquisition of the Takeuchi dealership, Merlo, Venieri, Noram, McCormick, Daedong and Jacobsen distributorships has created for Earthquip excellent opportunities in the materials handling industry. The Takeuchi product range of small to medium size excavators as well as the tracked skid steer loaders, considered leaders worldwide in their industry, has created enormous inroads into new markets Earthquip was not previously part of. Merlo has proven to be a very popular range with construction, farming and agriculture alike. The Venieri range of rigid and articulated 4wd front end loaders and backhoes, again leaders in their country of origin Italy, have provided Earthquip with an excellent source of highly sort after products offering superior value and performance.

Family Leaders

Interestingly the brands Takeuchi, Merlo and Venieri are all highly regarded family owned businesses of long standing- over 50 years. They each remain energetic leaders in their respective market niches and as continue to exceed the support and backup from the larger institutional manufacturers. As well, all three companies now offer units featuring the highly regarded hydrostatic power train which offers enormous benefits over previous transmission designs.

Earthquip goes agricultural

Earthquip

To effectively promote the Earthquip range of industrial products the establishment of branches throughout Queensland in strategically placed locations became essential. Earthquip Rockhamption allows us strategic access into agricultural areas marketing McCormick and Daedong agricultural products throughout Central Queensland.

McCormick and Daedong both command high respect in this agricultural community and sit extremely well with the Merlo Multifarmer and Turbofarmer range.

Earthquip in Rockhampton is staffed with highly trained employees, who offer excellent spare parts and field service support to represent both our industrial and agricultural product range. Whilst our initial foray in to Townsville, on the industrial front only, is to improve in the initial planning, the new Far North Queensland division will again offer the buying public both industrial and agricultural range as is the case in Rockhampton.

Used Equipment — Our Ethos.

Don Warriner has consistently held the view that simpler machinery offers the highest reliability and the most reliable performance, particularly in rural conditions. Early day unreliable computerised systems have been bypassed to enable greater understanding and ease of rectification of simple breakdowns. Earthquip has promoted these virtues in our selection of used earthmoving equipment:

•   Superior engineering at low prices
•   Simplicity
•   Longevity

A key motivation for most buyers in the Australian market today is price. The majority of buyers, particularly those which are accountable to others such as councils and quasi-governmental organisations, must work within controlled budgets. They are looking for competitive prices but insist upon good value. With our emphasis on sound engineering, simplicity, and quality at competitive prices, Earthquip's range of used equipment can satisfy the needs of a large section of the potential market.
